Course Description

BALANCING PERCEPTION & REALITY

Led by two national trainers, this two-day training event is designed to prepare students psychologically, emotionally, and tactically for their roles as law enforcement professionals in modern society. Participants will examine the current relationship between law enforcement and the community they are sworn to protect while also identifying the most current threats to both. Finally, officers will learn how their attitudes and personal perspectives could mean the difference between life and death in both violent confrontations and living as a law enforcement officer on and off the job.

Topics discussed, over the course of two days, will include but not be limited to:

  • Pre-Incident Preparation
  • Threats to Democracy
  • Up-to-Date Video Training
  • Detecting Deception
  • The Sheepdog Mentality
  • Preparing for the Aftermath
  • Reading Body Language
  • Understanding Stress Response
  • The Science of Human Performance
